26AW - a flicker of murmur - London Fashion Week

The ALEX S. YU Fall Winter 2026 collection is a journey back to a secret map, drawn from the depths of childhood memory. It is an homage to a hidden world—a small, urban forest that became an entire universe for a young explorer. Within its boundaries, a solitary adventure unfolded, where the only passport required was a boundless imagination.

The collection’s title, a flicker of murmur, captures the elusive sensation of this memory. The flicker is the dappled light through the canopy, the sudden appearance of an imaginary companion, the spark of a daydream. The murmur is the constant, gentle soundtrack of this private realm—the whisper of a nearby stream, the rustle of leaves underfoot, the quiet pulse of a world brought to life by wonder. This dialogue between the fleeting and the enduring is rendered in a sophisticated, tactile language.

Earthy tones of burgundy and rich brown are anchored by foundational black and white, while contrasted indigo provides a jolt of vivid recollection. Silhouettes recall the unstudied ease and volume of youth, with oversized plaids and checks evoking comfort and warmth. The collection gives tangible form to the invisible, weaving the concept of imaginary friends into the very fabric of the garments.

This collection is for the little explorers we used to be.
